Annual Toys For Tots Charity Event
While the holidays are a great time to get together with friends and family, they are also a time to be thankful for all the things you have and a time to give back to those who are less fortunate.
Our Toys For Tots Charity Event got its start in 2009 after the passing of my father, Dale Wanamaker. Throughout the years, he organized numerous Toys For Tots toy drives to help bring a joyful Christmas to children in local communities. In an effort to continue this tradition of giving back, we organized our own charity event and worked closely with local businesses to help make it a success.
Using the showroom of Franklin Sussex Auto Mall in Sussex, NJ, we setup an incredible, Christmas-themed set, complete with two fully decorated trees, a side table with milk and cookies and a real-life Santa! Each attendee who made a donation during our event received a complimentary portrait with Santa displayed in a customized portfolio.
Building on the success of the previous year, we’ll continue working with local businesses throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania to create events that help support the Toys For Tots mission.

About Toys For Tots
Founded in 1947 by reservist Major William L. Hendricks, the Toys for Tots program is run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which donates toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
